The Upper Bridge over Lake Taneycomo connecting Downtown Branson to Hollister has reopened to traffic.
According to a release from the Missouri Department of Transportation, the 76/Business 65 Bridge officially reopened at 6:00 Monday morning though some motorists told Legends 1063 that traffic was using the bridge on Sunday.
The bridge had been closed since October for the rehabilitation project though it reopened temporarily to help with traffic flow during the Veterans Day Parade.
The lower bridge connecting Branson Landing Blvd. to Hollister had been rehabilitated in September as part of a project that also includes work on other Taney County Bridges as well as bridges in Dade and McDonald Counties. Louis-Company LLC of Grain Valley is the primary contractor on the $2.2 million project which is expected to be completed next November.
