On Monday volunteers and members of the American Red Cross of Southern Missouri will be partnering with the Forsyth Fire Department, installing free smoke alarms for local families vulnerable to home fires in Forsyth.
According to a release from the Red Cross, volunteer teams will be visiting homes new Sunken Forest Drive to install the alarms and also discuss fire safety with the families. The teams will meet at the Forsyth Fire Department at 9:00 for training then heading out for installations.
This is part of the ongoing program with the Red Cross offering help to residents throughout Missouri and Arkansas as well as selected counties in Illinois and Kansas in promoting fire safety and the installation of smoke alarms.
