Arjes: Focus on Economic Development Important for Region

The Director of the Taney County Partnership talks about the importance of a focus on Economic Development.

Jonas Arjes, during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program says that having a dedicated person in that role not only helps identify economic opportunities but to unpack some of the challenges to seeing an area prosper. Arjes brings up the example of his and other groups studying Work Force Development with that studying uncovering the relationship to having available housing in the region. Arjes says the challenge is making sure there is inventory available for all economic categories.

The conversation also mentioned similar efforts underway through the Table Rock Lake Chamber of Commerce to develop similar programs with their "Launch Stone County" initiatives.
