BRANSON, Mo. — A historic overlook in Branson has been restored to its former glory by a couple from Troy, Missouri, near the St. Louis area.
Just off Highway 248 near Buchanan Rd sits Chula Vista. In recent years, the overlook was overgrown, but Matt and Janet Bass have been working to turn the buildings into vacation rentals and clear the overlook to share with the public.
It has been about a year since the Basses bought Chula Vista. Ozarks First met with them in August of 2024 to see how their restoration efforts were going, and now their accomplishments are ready for others to enjoy.
