The update from the U.S. Drought Monitor shows little change for those that do or don't have drought in the Lakes
The dividing line continues to be through northeastern Barry County in Missouri through northeast Carroll and southwest Boone County in Arkansas. Areas south and west of that line remain out of drought level while areas north and east, including both the Branson and Harrison areas, are Abnormally Dry to Moderate Drought Level.
Areas in drought according to the National Weather Service crop and pasture losses as well as low stream flow. Fire hazards are also possible in the area.
While the forecast calls for at or above normal temperatures starting next week, little to no rain is in the forecast for that period.
