Branson Fire Rescue works a structure fire Tuesday evening.
The release below is from the Branson MO Fire Rescue Facebook Page:
At approximately 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, Branson Fire Rescue responded to an automatic fire alarm in the 600 block of Schaefer Drive. While units were en route, the call was upgraded to a commercial structure fire after a citizen reported smoke coming from one of the rooms.
Engine 3 arrived on scene within five minutes of the initial fire alarm call. As crews made entry and began fire attack, firefighters located an occupant inside. Firefighters rescued the individual while working to contain the fire. The patient was transported Taney County Ambulance District to a local hospital.
The fire was contained to the room of origin, limiting damage and preventing further spread throughout the building. We’re proud of the teamwork shown by our first responders and grateful for our community partners.
No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
