A house north of Branson is destroyed by fire Friday evening.
According to a post from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, units were called to Quail Road around 6:45 to investigate a report of smoke showing. The first unit on the scene reported a house fully involved which triggered a mutual aid response from the Branson Fire Department. Firefighters had to haul water to the scene due to lack a fire hydrants which eventually led to a second alarm unit. The property owners were not at home at the time of the fire.
According to the WTCFPD Report, the home is a total loss with the cause of the fire under investigation. The Western Taney County Support Team and Taney County Ambulance provided assistance at the scene.
