A man from Stone County is facing several charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle in July.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed by the Stone County Sheriff's Office, Lyle Russell of Lampe is facing charges of Resisting Arrest and Tampering with a motor vehicle. On July 24, the Stone County Sheriff's Office was contacted by Branson Police about a vehicle stolen from Branson that had a registration address in Stone County. While a deputy was checking out the address, the deputy spotted the vehicle which turned around and began a short pursuit which eventually led to Russell's arrest.
The document also indicates that Russell has two outstanding warrants, including a probation violation warrant.
Russell is currently in the Stone County Jail on a $50,000 Bond with a Preliminary Hearing scheduled for September 2.
