A man is behind bars after fleeing from law enforcement while his child was with him.
According to a press release from Boone County Sheriff Roy Martin, around 8:30 Wednesday, a man riding a motorcycle fled from an officer attempting to stop him. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Robert Culver, Jr. of Omaha, crashed the motorcycle at a residence after the pursuit lasted for a mile and a half. His 3-year-old child, who was on the motorcycle with Culver, sustained minor injuries and was released to his mother.
Culver is facing felony charges of fleeing and endangering the welfare of a minor. He is currently in the Boone County Detention Center on a $25,000 cash only bond.
