A man is facing additional charges after shooting a weapon in a Lakes Area Hospital over the weekend.
According to a release from the Arkansas State Police, 25-year-old William Rose of Little Rock has been arrested by Eureka Springs Police for Aggravated Assault and Resisting Arrest. Rose was taken to Mercy Hospital in Berryville for medical treatment and managed to take a gun from a Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputy and fired it twice in the hospital. Medical Staff managed to get the weapon from him at which time he fled into the nearby woods. He was later caught by Deputies plus officers from the Berryville Police Department.
Rose is now facing seven additional charges including Assault of an Officer and Resisting Arrest. No one was injured in the hospital shooting.
Rose is on the Carroll County with the incident under investigation by the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division.
