Missouri launches new form to report foreign influence in state elections

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The Missouri Attorney General has launched a new form to report suspected foreign involvement in state election campaigns.

Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway announced the new form on Tuesday. It allows Missourians to submit concerns or information about potential foreign involvement in ballot initiatives directly to the Attorney General’s office.

The new reporting tool stems from the Foreign Influence in Ballot Measures Act, signed into law from Senate Bill 152 earlier this year. Hanaway says the legislation grants the Attorney General’s Office new authority to investigate and prevent foreign-sourced funding in Missouri ballot campaigns.
