One of the biggest annual events in Missouri takes place on Wednesday.
Around 6:30 am, the annual Trout Season gets underway at Parks across the state including Roaring River near Cassville.
As discussed by Morgan Williams of the Cassville Chamber of Commerce during a visit last week to KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program, the chamber will begin handing out coffee mugs to early arrivals at the park.
During recent “At Your Service” Podcasts on the Branson Podcast Network, agents of the Missouri Department of Conservation have reminded anglers to make sure that new permits are purchased before casting a fishing line on Wednesday. Current permits expire at the end of today.
The trout season in Missouri runs from March 1st to October 31st.
