A group has developed a place using the terrain of the Ozarks for mountain biking enthusiast.
The Howler Bike Park opened last weekend north of Branson which includes different levels of trails from beginners to experienced mountain bikers as well as a shop and food trailer offering sandwiches. A part of the park dedicated to a camping experience will open later this year.
Max Penny, founder of Howler Bike Park, said during an interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" that it took nearly a year to develop the land for the trails in Phase 1 of the park with additional trails to possibly be developed over the next few years. Penny said opening day on May 20 drew over 400 visitors to the park.
