One Person Dies in Motorcycle vs. Pick-up Truck Crash

A Lampe man has died after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a pick-up truck.

The accident occurred around 3:30 Saturday afternoon when 18-year-old Taylor Phillips was on Highway 13 south of Lampe when according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Accident Report, the motorcycle pulled into the path of a truck driven by 66-year-old David Shuppert of Blue Eye.

Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercy EMS while Shuppert was not reported as injured.

According to a report from the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, the accident closed Highway 13 south of Lampe near Highway 86 for over three hours.

This is the 22nd Fatality reported by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2024.
