The City of Forsyth has a Public Meeting scheduled for Monday to answer questions about a Use Tax on the April Ballot.
According to the post on the City of Forsyth Facebook Page, the meeting will take place at City Hall from 6:00 to 7:30 pm to discuss the ballot issue.
This issue has been considered by many communities and counties over the last several years and allows the city to collect sales tax revenue from out of state vendors and online vendors at the same rate of the current city sales tax. According to past reporting on the issue, the money can not be collected by a local community or county unless a law is put in place by a vote of the citizens.
A recap of an earlier meeting can be found on the Branson Tri-Lakes News Website.
