The 89th Annual Branson Veterans Day Parade will weave its way through downtown Branson on Friday welcoming over 70 units to this year's event.
Bob Sarver, who coordinates the parade for Branson Veterans of American 913 says during a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program that motorist need to remember that several streets will be closed due to the parade staging and to clear the parade route.
Sarver says that Commercial Street will be shutdown overnight on the morning of the parade with Long Street between Veterans Blvd. and Branson Landing Blvd. closing at 8 am along with Sycamore Street at College Street. Branson Landing Blvd. itself will close at 10:30 to clear traffic on the entire parade route.
Sarver adds that all parade entrants will be lining up from Price Street which will cause some back-ups on Veterans Blvd. during the morning.
The Parade will step-off at 11:00 and go north on Branson Landing Blvd. then turn back south onto Commercial Street.
Parade coverage will air live on Legends 1063.
