The annual shoreline cleanup of area lakes coordinated by a local organization is coming up.
The 22nd Annual Shoreline Cleanup from H2Ozarks will take place over two weekends. Jerry Harman and Olivia Magness from H2Ozarks, during a recent interview on KRZK’s “Ozarks Now” program, said that volunteers are still needed to help conduct the cleanup around Lake Taneycomo as well as Bull Shoals and Table Rock Lake. Sponsorship opportunities for businesses to support the effort are still available as well.
The event, which initially started as a cleanup along Table Rock Lake in 2000, has expanded to all three lakes and the removal of over 18,000 bags of trash according to Harman and Magness.
The clean-up of Bull Shoals and Table Rock Lakes will take place September 30th thru October 2nd and again October 7th thru 9th while the cleanup of Lake Taneycomo will take place on October 1st.
