One of the eight fatality traffic crashes in the state so far, this Memorial Day Weekend takes place in the Lakes Region late Sunday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred around 10:40 pm on Highway 65 six miles north of Branson when a pick-up driven by 66-year-old Bobbie Sullivan of Springfield traveled off the right side of the road with Sullivan then overcorrecting and going off the left side of the road striking berm and overturning. Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene by Taney County Paramedics just after 11:00.
The is the 44th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2023.
