The storm system that brought heavy rain and severe storms to the region included four confirmed tornados.
Earlier this week, the National Weather Service office in Springfield confirmed an EF-0 Tornado touched down briefly in Stone County near Elsey with Thursday officials adding three more tornados hit the ground in Douglas County, all EF-0 twisters with maximum winds of 70 to 75 MPH.
All three tornados were on the ground for 50-100 yards maximum with damage limited primarily to broken tree limbs in the three tornados.
