Two People Dead After Incident at Branson Apartment Complex UPDATE

Two people have died in a shooting at a Branson apartment complex.

According to the Branson Police Department, officers responded to the Branson Manor Apartments at Old Country Road and Stanley Blvd. just before noon after receiving a call of shots fired. About an hour after the call, police confirmed that two people were found deceased.

The Branson Tri-Lakes News confirms with Branson Police and the Taney County Coroner the identities of the deceased were 47-year-old Whitney Davis and 76-year-old Stephen Walsh. Authorities tell Branson Tri-Lakes News that Walsh confronted Davis about an issue and then fatally shot her before he returned to his room and took his own life.

The police say there is no ongoing threat to the public and that more information will be released when available.
