As the school year is set to begin next week in Forsyth, a highway near the school will see road construction.
According to the a release from the Missouri Department of Transportation, crews will working on Highway 160 from Highway H going east into Forsyth to Coy Boulevard, the road that leads directly into the Forsyth School Complex off of 160.
The release from MODOT indicates that the road work take place next Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm with lane closures possible during that time. In addition, the highway will be completely closed between H Highway and Coy from 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon on Tuesday.
Crews are going to seal the road with a mixture of rock and oil to help prevent the road from deteriorating and extending its life according to the MODOT Release, which adds that signage will be in place to alert motorist to the road work.
Forsyth Schools are set to begin the 2025-26 School Year on Tuesday with classes beginning at 8:00 that morning.
