Friday's Action in Missouri State High School State Tournaments include a big win for Hollister Baseball and a loss for Branson Tennis in the State Semi-finals.
Hollister
The Tiger Baseball Program will make their third trip ever to the State Semi-finals after rallying from an early 4-1 deficit to take the lead for good in the fourth inning then holding on for a 6-5 win in Ozark. It was the second match-up of the season between the two state ranked teams with both going to the Tigers by a run.
Hollister will play Blair Oaks in the state semi-finals, also at U.S. Bank Park in Ozark this Wednesday. Coverage of the Final Four Games can be heard on http://www.perryphillipssports.com/.
Branson
The Pirates first ever trip to the State Tennis Semi-finals resulted in a loss at the hands of one of the only schools to defeat them this season as they are edged by Thomas Jefferson 5-2. The Pirates will play for third place in the Class 2 State Tournament today at Noon against Ladue Horton Watkins out of St. Louis.
