Billie June Slaton June 30, 1937 - May 26, 2022
Billie June Slaton, 84, a resident of Harrison, formerly of Stockton, California, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2022, at The Springs of Harrison.
She was born June 30, 1937, at Tulare, California to Edgar and Willie L. Edwards Peters. She married Floyd Dempsy Slaton on November 21, 1959, in Reno, Nevada and was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping and garage sales, collecting shoes, purses, and jewelry. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Winchell.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Floyd D. “Steve” Slaton of Harrison; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Jeffery and Bobbie Slaton of St. Maries, Idaho and Joseph Michael and Teresa Slaton of Linden, California; a daughter, Kimberley Slaton of Harrison; nine grandchildren, Mendi Sue, Betsi Jo, Beau, Tiffany, Jennifer, Little Joey, Kortney, Steven, and Mya; numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters, Beverly Prater of Stockton, Bonnie Cooper of Stockton, and Brenda Miller, Billie’s baby sister and her husband, Steve, of Grants Pass, Oregon; numerous nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at Farmington Cemetery at Farmington, California under the direction of Casa Bonita Funeral Home, 2500 Cemetery Lane, Stockton, California 95205, Phone: 209-942-2500. Local arrangements are by Holt Memorial Chapel.
