Wanda Mae Ruble August 22, 1940 - April 23, 2022
Wanda Mae Ruble, 81, a resident of Harrison, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison.
She was born August 22, 1940, at Mt. Judea to Frank James and Opie Lee Freeman Hampton. She married Donald Ray Ruble on June 17, 1964, at Harrison. She worked as a veterinarian technician for several years for North Arkansas Veterinarian Clinic. She worked with Don on the farm, helping with the cattle and was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and restoring automobiles. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Faye Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Donald Ray “Groucho” Ruble of Harrison; a son and daughter-in-law, Bradley Ray and Tonya Ruble of Harrison; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Bennie and Anna Hampton of Dover; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice and Leon Fuchs of Maumelle and Sue and Bobby Barger of Bryant; several nephews and nieces; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022, at Holt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Phillip C. Collie II officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
