Arlene Rita DuBois

Arlene Rita DuBois, age 80, of Branson, Missouri

Arlene Rita DuBois, age 80, of Branson, Missouri, passed away August 3, 2026, with family by her side. She entered this life August 16, 1945, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Leyba) DuBois in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

A loving and caring woman, Arlene possessed warmth that touched the lives of those around her. Her faith and church family were an important part of her life, and she found great joy in caring for others, especially through serving on the kitchen crew and sharing meals with those she loved. Arlene was a true blessing to her First Presbyterian church family in Branson. When the church opened its Sunday morning welcome center, she graciously volunteered to serve refreshments and provide information Sunday after Sunday. Covid and respiratory concerns kept Arlene at home these past few years, but she faithfully continued to attend church online and was always delighted to see the faces of friends and visitors on her screen.

Arlene had a deep appreciation for nature and animals and enjoyed the simple comforts of life, including her much-loved collection of blankets. Outgoing and kindhearted, she had a way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and at home in her presence. Above all, Arlene treasured her family. She shared an especially close bond with her granddaughter, Suzie, for whom she was much more than a grandmother. She was a loving mother figure, offering Suzie guidance, comfort, encouragement, and a steady presence throughout her life. Arlene’s generous spirit, nurturing heart, and love for her family will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Arlene is survived by her brothers, Robert (Theresa) DuBois and Daivd (Margaret) DuBois; grandchildren: Suzie (Jeremy) Gamble, Rosa Aragon,

Ashley Woods, Shawn Davidson, Courtany Woods, Darrian Woods, Keona Craig, Katie Ann Craig, Hazzen Gamble, and Blazzen Gamble.

She is preceded in death by her sons, Richard Woods and Randy Woods; parents, Frank and Rose DuBois; brother, James DuBois; and grandchild: Alex Woods and Nick Woods.

There will a celebration of life at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 8, 2026, at the First Presbyterian, 420 W Main Street, Branson, Missouri. Arrangments and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
