Carolyn Larimore, Branson, Missouri

Carolyn Larimore, her story started when born on April 27, 1943, was raised in Branson, Missouri, where she graduated from Branson High School. On August 10, 1963, she married her beloved Larry Larimore, in Branson.

Carolyn worked for ten years as a nurse’s aide before beginning a long career as a receptionist with Cummins Allison in Mt. Prospect, Illinois. During her retirement, she enjoyed long country drives with her husband, hunting for carnival glass finds and reading books. She will be remembered as a great person who deeply loved those close to her in her own way. Carolyn was a wife, mother and grandmother. Throughout her life, she was an amazing seamstress who sewed her own dresses, drapes and creative children’s Halloween costumes for her grandson. Anytime anyone needed mending, she graciously helped. Her kindness, dedication, and caring spirit touched all who knew her.

Carolyn entered into rest surrounded by her loving family on May 15, 2026 in Illinois at the age of 83.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Larimore of Palatine, Illinois; her son, Robert Larimore and wife Holly of Hobart, Indiana; her grandson, RJ Larimore of Beecher, IL; her cousin, Della Roush and husband Ron of Nixa, Missouri; her second cousin, Ashley Guenther and husband Ryan of Nixa; along with extended family & many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Hodge Mead.

Private services were held for the family.
