George Leonard Hoefler, age 87, of Cassville
George Leonard Hoefler, age 87, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 at Lacoba Homes in Monett, Missouri.
He was born June 17, 1938 in Denver, Colorado the son of Victor W. and Zita (Glass) Hoefler, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Jackie Archuleta.
Surviving are his sons, Mark Hoefler and wife Kelli of Littleton, Colorado, Matthew Hoefler and wife Rosa of Denver, Colorado, Luke Hoefler of Nederland, Colorado and John Hoefler and wife Jacquelyn of Golden, Colorado; daughters, Lori Maloney and husband Paul of Eagle Rock, Missouri, Patricia Ladebue and husband Roy of Brush, Colorado, Lisa Zion and husband Stuart of Arvada, Colorado and Mary Spencer and husband Rob of Arvada, Colorado; brother, Garvin Hoefler of Aptos, California; sister, Jeannie Teague; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
George grew up in Denver, Colorado, where he attended school and graduated from St. Francis High School. He served for three years in the Colorado Army National Guard. George worked as a machinist for IBM for 15 years. In his free time, he enjoyed building model airplanes, competing in pistol shooting events, and cutting and polishing stones for jewelry making.
Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Cassville, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Father Bill Hodgson will conduct the services.
