Harvey Lee Stockton, age 85, of Cassville

Harvey Lee Stockton, age 85, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at his home.

He was born May 16, 1941 in Shell Knob, Missouri, the son of James Jefferson and Mattie Mae (Hampton) Stockton. On May 21, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri he was united in marriage to Nancy Belle Lewis, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Wade Stockton and wife Tracy of Rockledge, Florida; daughter, Julie Tuttle and husband Joe of Oak Grove, Missouri; sisters, Sharon Hayworth and husband James of Washburn, Missouri; grandchildren, Levi Walker, Marshall Walker, Hannah Ammari and husband Majed, and Caleb Stockton; great grandchild, Rami Ammari and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Reta Henson, Reba Kamler, and Mary Matthews; brother, Harry Stockton; nieces, Karen Kamler and Paula Bacca; nephews, Steve Stockton and Marty Stockton; father-in-law, Charles Lewis and mother-in-law, Dorothy Lewis.

Harvey attended school in Cassville and graduated from Cassville High School with the Class of 1959. He was employed as an operating engineer at Independence Regional Hospital in Independence, Missouri.

He loved fixing things, especially old cars, and had a remarkable mechanical mind. Harvey enjoyed hunting and fishing, baling hay, and gardening. He was a gifted storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor. Harvey loved music, taught himself to play the guitar, and was a good friend to many, but most of all he loved his family. He and Nancy shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. Harvey attended First Baptist Church in Cassville. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Wade Stockton will conduct the services.
