James Roy “J.R.” Clary, 63, of Lead Hill, Arkansas

James Roy “J.R.” Clary, 63, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, passed away on July 27, 2026, at the Springs of Harrison. J.R. was born on September 15, 1962, in Harrison, Arkansas, to Billy Clary and Flora Bell (Villines) Clary. He graduated from Lead Hill High School in 1980, where he played both baseball and basketball. He was a long time employee at Chester’s and Georges Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville where he made many lifelong friendships. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Clary and Flora Bell (Villines) Clary, along with both maternal (Oliver and Jocie Villines), and paternal grandparents (Clay and Biffel Clary) and many aunts and uncles. JR loved spending time in the woods hunting, hand whittling bows, fishing, playing pc games, watching movies and always had a new book recommendation for anyone who would listen. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces along with his great nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brother, Billy Clay Clary Jr. and sister-in-law Teresa (Lawrence) Clary; his three aunts, Sheila (Villines) Tucker; Nancy Villines; and Cleta Clary; two nieces Olivia Clary Schultz and Hannah (Clary) Jeanes and husband Trevor Jeanes, along with nephews Bryce, Abel and Jasper; and nieces, Kamani, Willow, Jayde and Josie. Along with close friend Don Bunch, and many other friends and cousins. He was very loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

The family will be having a private service to celebrate his life.
