Jeannie Anderson, age 90, of Branson, Missouri
Jeannie Anderson, age 90, of Branson, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2026,
at Forsyth Nursing and Rehabilitation in Forsyth.
She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 12, 1935, the daughter of Otto and Ruth
(Denno) Whitsett. On February 3, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada she was united in marriage to
Lawrence Wayne Anderson, who preceded her in death on August 14, 1995. Also preceding her
in death were her parents; a child, James Randall Hamilton; brother, James Whitsett; and sister,
Judith Means.
Surviving are her children along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren,
nieces and nephews.
Jeannie had lived in Branson for the past 12 years, coming from Colorado and previously
California. Among her many talents, Jeannie was a homemaker and a devoted mother to 4
natural and 34 adopted children over the course of her amazing life. At 90 years old, despite her
declining health, she focused her incredible spirit, strength and determination on raising 5
grandchildren ranging from 4 to 11 years old, until the Good Lord called her home. She truly
loved children and poured her heart into caring for them. When she was not spending time loving
and nurturing the kids, she was always finding ways to help others, offering kindness and
support wherever it was needed.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under direction
of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
