John Phillip Stevenson, age 83, of Hollister, Missouri

John Phillip Stevenson, age 83, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away on June 10, 2026. He entered this life on November 20, 1942, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Lamoine and Jessie (Brent) Stevenson. He was joined in marriage on April 2, 1976, to Lynnette Urs Davis.

Throughout his life, John was admired for his adventurous nature and his deep appreciation for the open road. One of his greatest joys was traveling in his RV, where he found freedom, discovery, and countless memorable experiences. Whether John was exploring new places or simply enjoying the journey itself, he approached travel with enthusiasm and a sense of wonder that never seemed to fade. In addition to his love of travel, John had a strong passion for developing and building houses. He took pride in creating something lasting, and he understood the importance of craftsmanship, vision, and perseverance. He also had strong faith in the Lord, being a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Branson, Missouri. John will be remembered for his adventurous outlook, his loving heart, and his kind nature, he will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lamoine and Jessie Stevenson and three brothers: Robert Stevenson, Charles Stevenson, and James Stevenson.

John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lynnette Stevenson; daughter, Laura Pierson of Silvis, Illinois; daughter, Lisa Lager of Moline, Illinois; son, Jason Stevenson of Clayton, North Carolina; stepson, Jeff Davis of Saint Petersburg, Florida; stepdaughter, Cherie Lawson of Hollister, Missouri; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
