Joshua Lee Wyman

Joshua Lee Wyman

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our Joshua Lee Wyman. He

was 46 years old, when he passed away unexpectedly, Sunday evening June 28, 2026, in his

childhood home, with his dad and mom by his side.

Josh was born August 17, 1979, to Rocky and Beth Peterson Wyman, at Skaggs Hospital,

Branson Mo. Josh grew up in Rueter, Mo, on the ridge overlooking the Boston Mountains of Arkansas. He

loved spending time with his grandfather John R. Wyman. They were always on an adventure in

John R’s red Chevy truck. Visiting with the other men, in the area, where they all told story after

story, of the ways things used to be and still should be. Josh also spent days of his childhood

with his grandfather Charlie Peterson and great grandfather Pete Peterson. Josh learned his work ethic and his respect for his elders during his childhood years.

Josh attended Mark Twain Grade School where he made friends with everyone and started his

love of playing basketball. He then attended and graduated from Forsyth High School where he continued to play basketball, and led scoring for many of the games during those four years. He then attended Northark College, in Harrison, Arkansas where he walked on and made the Pioneer team as a

point guard.

On June 7, 2002, Josh was married to Erin Wrisberg Wyman, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony,

at the Roston Wedding Gardens, in Elkhead, Mo. They were blessed with two children, Reid

and Reagan. Although they were currently separated, Josh and Erin were committed to their

children and Josh’s love for his family was beyond measure.

Besides all the love he had for his family, there was also all the love he had for his friends. Josh

loved big with a huge heart. He never met a stranger and was always walking up to someone

putting out his hand to shake and saying “How ya doing, I’m Josh Wyman. Glad to meet ya.”

Josh has friends from grade school to present day that say “Josh wasn’t just my friend. He was

my brother.”

Josh worked construction for many years and has framed houses, all over, that families now call home and also several businesses, adding little extra to his projects. But the work, though it was not work to Josh, that he loved more than anything was being on his family farm and especially on the Caney Creek land working with cattle. He worked at many sale barns and was currently working at the Harrison sale barn. It can be dangerous work and Josh was determined to teach the younger workers, so they would not get hurt. He was a hard worker on his family farm and had just this spring started a fence building business, and as the farmers can attest to, that is not an easy job, but he loved it. And there are many cleared out

and straight fence rows on several farms now. His favorite time of year was Spring when the turkeys gobbled, the suckers shoaled, and the mushrooms popped. Of course deer and elk season were high on his list too. He loved being in the woods with his hero, his dad Rocky. They had many great rifle and bow hunts in Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, Kansas, Utah, and here at home, in Missouri. Josh loved the Lord and called the outdoors his church.

Josh is lovingly remembered by his wife Erin, son Reid, and daughter Reagan, his father and

mother Rocky &; Beth Wyman, sister Lacey Eyberg &; husband Leif, nieces Eris &; Leila and
