Michael Wayne Patton passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, at The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows in Springdale, Arkansas. He was 65 years old and a resident of Pyatt, Arkansas. Michael was born on October 4, 1960, in Missouri to Euell Patton and Eva (Money) Patton.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army for ten years. During his military service, he served in three conflicts: Operation Just Cause in Panama, Operation Urgent Fury in Grenada, and the Persian Gulf War. In recognition of his courage and sacrifice, he was awarded the Purple Heart.
Michael was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy Patton, who passed away in 2025. They shared 25 wonderful years of marriage.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Sondra Hancock; her children, Morgan Butler and Shay Butler; and her grandchildren, Mattison St. Clair, Tonya Seaman and Chance Bulter. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Kenneth Hancock and wife Lesa and their child, Kelly Smith and her husband, Jason, along with their children, Jasey and Keevyn. In addition, Michael leaves behind many other loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory.
Michael enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He was happiest at home, where he loved playing games on his phone and spending time with his faithful companions, his beloved dog, Kayliegh, and his cat, Alley. Those who knew Michael will remember his quiet nature, his love for his family and pets, and the pride he took in serving his country.
Michael's life was marked by courage, loyalty, and dedication. His military service and the sacrifices he made for his nation will never be forgotten, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life to honor Michael will take place at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. The date and time are to be determined.
