Patricia Joyce Cusic
Patricia Joyce Cusic, lovingly known as Patty, passed away on July 20, 2026, in Branson, Missouri, at the age of 87. She was born on May 5, 1939, in Eugene, Oregon, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion, and generous love for others.
Patty was the daughter of Harold Wesley Pollock and Bessie (Walker) Pollock. She grew up in Eugene, where she graduated from high school before attending Bible College in Eugene. From an early age, she carried a deep love for God and a sincere concern for people, qualities that would shape the course of her life and the way she cared for everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husbands, John Philp and Joseph Cusic. Patty is survived by her children, Gary D. Philp, Melody Straube, Shelly Leveque, and Debby Bucher. She also leaves behind her brother, Harold Pollock, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her encouragement and her unwavering love.
Patty devoted many years to serving as a pastor’s wife. After moving to Branson in 2003 from Alton, Illinois, she continued her service to others as a pastor at Harvest Chapel in Branson. She also worked as an usher and in the box office for the Acrobats of China.
Music was one of Patty’s greatest passions and gifts. She was talented and deeply devoted to it, and she once turned down an opportunity to join Elvis Presley because she preferred to stay home and raise her children. She shared her musical talents by performing and recording with her daughter Debby and son-in-law Gary in a trio, bringing joy to those who heard her.
Those who know Patty will remember her as loving, faith-filled, and selfless. She gave freely of herself and would give you her last dollar if you needed it. She raised her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with the same devotion and tenderness that defined every part of her life. Her life was one of faithful service, and she found joy in helping others and pointing them toward the Lord. She was known for her heartfelt witness and her concern for the souls of others. She talked about Jesus to everyone she met, and she lived with a sincere desire to care for people in practical and meaningful ways. Her family and friends will long remember her and the example she set through a life fully given to God and to others.
A family celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 1:00 pm in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
