Ralph Lee Garrett passed away on July 16, 2026, in Branson, Missouri, at the age of 76.
Ralph was born on July 19, 1949, in Visalia, California, to Seaborn Garrett and Hazel Garrett. He grew up in Farmersville, California and graduated from Exeter High School in California with high honors.
Ralph devoted much of his life to caring for others. He worked for 39 years as a CNA and Psych Tech Assistant at the state hospital in Porterville, California. His long career was marked by service, patience, and a genuine concern for the well-being of others. Those who knew him through his work remember him as dependable, thoughtful, and deeply compassionate.
On May 8, 1987, Ralph married the love of his life, Carla, in Porterville, California. Together they made their home in Terra Bella, California, before moving to Branson in 2017. Ralph treasured his family and found great joy in the life they built together.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Eggmann-Garrett; his children, George W. Lane, Kyrt Patrick Lane, and Ann Marie Hure-Duty; his sister, Joyce Phillips; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Seaborn & Hazel Garrett; sons, Benjamin Lane and John Quincy Adams Garrett; daughter, Merri Ly Lane, as well as his infant sister, Rose Marie Garrett. Ralph also leaves behind many cherished memories with those who knew and loved him.
Ralph will be remembered for his strong work ethic and the love he gave to his family. His memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him.
Services will be held at the Branson United Methodist Church with Pastor Dave Wiant officiating on Monday, October 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
Memorials are suggested to the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army or the Branson United Methodist Church.

Losing two of my loved ones within days of each other and then losing my grief counselor 4 days before my husband passed has been very hard for me to bear. If it hadn't been for Jesus’ promise to send the HOLY COMFORTER when he descended to heaven, I would be lost.
Peggy, my grief counselor, who passed, was helping me cope with my youngest son, who committed suicide July 14, 2022.
Ralph Garrett was killed in a crash six days after we married. He begged Jesus and God to come back so he could help me raise our five children and told God he loved me and wanted to be with me. He came back with every bone in his body broken except his left arm and left leg. Jesus promised him he would walk, he would work, he would help me raise my five children and he would be with me again.
This is after the doctors said otherwise.
He was such a wonderful husband and father who supported me while I continued to go to school to be a Psychiatric Technician Nurse, Teacher, Architect, and Contractor.
He continued to become a CNA and Psych Tech Assistant for the State of California Hospital caring for the Developmentally Disabled for 39 years.
