Raymond Mangrum, known lovingly to family and friends as Dale, passed away on April 17, 2026, in Branson, Missouri, at the age of 80. He was born on June 2, 1945, in West Point, Georgia, and lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family, hard work, and a generous spirit that touched many hearts.

Dale was the son of Raymond Mangrum and Herman and Imogene Price. He spent his early childhood in Lanett, Alabama, before moving to Montgomery, Alabama. He attended Robert E. Lee High School, and later attended Troy State before marrying the love of his life, Edie, on July 29, 1967. With her loving support, he began a career that took him traveling throughout various states in the South, from Florida to Texas, in the field of sales and merchandising. His work reflected his determination and his willingness to provide for those he loved.

Dale honorably served in the National Guard while also maintaining his career in the business. His working life included marketing and merchandising for convenience store and grocery store chains, and later in life he found success in home inspection, a business he and Edie developed together. He approached each responsibility with diligence and care, and he earned the respect of those who requested his services.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Edie Mangrum; his daughters, Kim Bryan and her husband Danny, Rae Campbell and her husband Sean, Pam Thomas and her husband Nathan; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Bryan, Morgan Bryan, Jaden Campbell, Greyson Campbell, Kadie Thomas Vizethann, and Ethan Thomas; his brother, Joe Price; and his sister, Donna Mangrum Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Steve Price and son in law Patrick St. John. Dale will also be missed by many nieces and nephews

and a close circle of friends and acquaintances he met through many of his travels.

Dale was known for his love of Auburn and was among the most devoted of fans, always watching on television or in person whenever he could. He fondly named his treasured dog Aubie as a reflection of his bond with Auburn. Traveling often RVing was paired with his interest in genealogy, and he spent many meaningful adventures visiting small towns and cemeteries in search of family history, relatives, and stories that helped connect generations. He also had a tradition of grilling and preparing good food, often while enjoying nature and watching for his favorite birds. These simple pleasures brought him joy and reflected the warmth of his personality.

Those who knew Dale will remember him as generous, thoughtful, and full of life as they come together at a special Celebration of Life gathering in the clubhouse located at the Wilderness Club R.V. Resort in Hollister on June 6, 2026.
