Rose Marie Wilson Benson passed away in Mountain Home Arkansas, on June 21, 2026. She was born March 2, 1946, the youngest of 3 children, to Everett and Mildred (Fowler) Wilson in Crescent, Iowa and was raised on the farm outside of Crescent, Iowa. She graduated from Underwood Public School in Underwood, Iowa in 1964.

In 1966 Rose and Dwayne Sanders were married. During their marriage they were stationed in Japan during Dwayne’s time in the service. Following the separation, Rose married Vern Benson. The couple relocated to Caulfield, Missouri in 1991 and spent their remaining years together on their acreage until Vern’s death.

Throughout her life, Rose worked for various trucking companies as a dispatcher. In her later years, she made fishing lures that were popular with Bass Pro Shop and other outdoor sporting companies.

Rose loved the outdoors, watching animals, and feeding birds. Following Vern’s death, she spent time traveling to Council Bluffs, Iowa a few times a year to renew relationships, visit family, share holidays and special occasions, and test her luck at the casino.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Vern, parents Mildred and Everett Wilson, sister and brother-in law Viola & Floyd Lawrence, brother Everett Carl Wilson, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rose is survived by sister-in-law Judy Wilson, Nephews Bill Wilson (Michele), Neil Wilson (Toni), Ryan Wilson, David Lawrence (Paula), and Nieces Teri Tiffany, Trish Dunlop (Robert) and Sharon Westmoreland (Bryan). She also leaves behind many great nieces & nephews, cousins, friends, best friends Betty & Mike Rader, and first husband and friend Dwayne Sanders.
