Thomas J. Kinsella, age 84, passed away on April 10, 2026.
Thomas J. Kinsella, age 84, of Forsyth, Missouri, passed away on April 10, 2026. He was born on May 15, 1941, and lived his life by faith, hard work, and kindness to people.
Thomas, known to many as Tom, was the son of Thomas Kinsela and Helen and Paul Tarnowski. He grew up attending school in St. Paul, Minnesota, and later graduated from high school in Alexandria, Minnesota. Those early years helped shape the thoughtful and steady man he became, and he carried the values of family, responsibility, and perseverance throughout his life.
Tom built a respected career in the real estate market, where he worked not only as a seller and broker, but also in building and developing construction projects. He approached his work with dedication and a practical understanding of how to bring ideas to life. His efforts reflected his strong work ethic and his ability to see both the promise and the purpose in every project he took on.
Faith was an important part of Tom’s life. He was a long-time active member of Our Lady of the Ozarks Catholic Church. His church family was a meaningful part of his life, and he found strength and comfort in his beliefs. Tom lived his faith quietly and sincerely through the way he treated others, always showing care, patience, and respect.
Tom was a man who truly enjoyed people. He loved to visit with everyone he came in contact with and took genuine interest in getting to know them. He had a gift for conversation and a sincere appreciation for the stories and experiences of those around him. He was the kind of person who left a lasting impression simply by being present and attentive.
He also found peace in the great outdoors. Tom loved to escape to nature, where he could enjoy the quiet and beauty of the world around him. Whether spending time outside for reflection or simply taking in the calm of the natural world, he found comfort and renewal in those moments. His appreciation for the outdoors was one more reflection of his thoughtful spirit and his ability to find meaning in life’s simple blessings.
Tom is survived by his wife, Ethel; his son, Thomas Kinsella; his daughters, Dayna Guthrey, Brenda Douglas, and Nancy Turner; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. He was a proud and loving family man, and his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather brought him great joy. His family will remember him for his steady presence, his kindness, and the affection he shared so freely with them.
Thomas J. Kinsella will be remembered with a memorial service on April 22, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation prior to service beginning at 9:30 a.m. in The Our Lady of the Ozarks Catholic Church, Forsyth.
