Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Tommy Majors, entered into rest on April 8, 2026 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 73.

Born Tommy Carl Majors on November 30, 1952 in Gary, Indiana, Tommy was the only son and one of four children born to Carl & Clara Majors. His family moved to Illinois and he grew up in Cornell, IL graduating from Cornell High School.

Tommy was a hardworking man, caring for his family.  His early employment consisted of working at a grocery store, handling chemicals and spreading fertilizer for Skell Gas and driving a semi-truck for Illinois Food Producers.  Along with working, he attended technical school studying refrigeration.  He had a remarkable understanding and proficiency in refrigeration and HVAC and went on to both teach and operate his own business in the field. After moving to Missouri, he was an instructor at OTC’s Springfield and Hollister campus.  He also worked over 20 years in the maintenance department for Branson Public Schools.

Tommy’s personal life was defined by his amazing marriage to his wife, Marcella “Marci” (Watson) in 1971 and being a great father to his two sons, Tom and Michael.  The family took many trips in their fifth wheel camper all across the United States and Tommy and Marci continued their camping adventures even after their sons were grown.  Tommy loved sitting by the campfire, fishing, watching deer and hunting.  He was also an avid car enthusiast.  He enjoyed classic cars, going to car shows and NASCAR races. Watching football was another favorite pastime, cheering on the Chicago Bears.

Tommy will be deeply missed by his family: wife, Marci Majors of Branson; son, Tom Majors, Jr. & wife Rachel of Branson; son, Michael Majors of Battlefield; grandsons, Timothy Majors and Andrew Majors; and sister, Mamie Mullen of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Pat Kramer and Linda Majors.

Services will be Friday, May 22, 2026 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory in Branson with burial following in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services to follow at 11:00 am.
