Willard Pentecost, 77, passed away on July 6, 2026. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for his family, and countless memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.
Willard shared 47 years of marriage with the love of his life, Melody "Dee-Dee" Pentecost. Together they built a life filled with love, family, and unwavering devotion to one another.
He is survived by his children: Jenny Sandefur; Jason Hay (Kassie); Charlotte "Nickel" Erickson (Andrew); James Pentecost (Sharon); and Willard Pentecost Jr. (Sharlene).
Willard was a proud grandfather to Taylor Sandefur, Logan Sandefur, Zack Hay, Wayne Hay, Domineque Bridges, Zek Bridges, Robert West, Xavier Martinez, Jason Glenn, Christopher Gamage, Cody Harden, and Heather George.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Hazel Brashears; his brothers, Jerry Pentecost, Roger Pentecost, Elmer Brashears; his sister, Dorothy Johnson; and his granddaughter, Alicia Pentecost.
He is survived by his brothers, Joe Pentecost and Dennis Johnson, and his sister, Ruthann Wooldridge.
Throughout his life, Willard worked as an over-the-road truck driver, mechanic, and welder. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others.
Outside of work, Willard enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors, and making memories with his family. He loved telling stories, sharing laughter, and was known for his unforgettable toothless smile. He also had a special bond with his faithful companion, Jack.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Tyler's Bend Pavilion. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Willard's life, share memories, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
Willard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons he taught, and the love of the family he cherished
