The pattern of showers and thunderstorms again produced heavy rain and severe storms as it moved through the region on Tuesday.
While most of the severe weather stayed in Arkansas from Harrison south, all areas saw strong storms that knocked out power. Both Entergy Arkansas and Liberty were among the utilities reporting power outages that affected several thousand customers for a time.
Flooding was also reported with rivers and streams reaching their banks. Several roads were closed for a time and according to the Missouri Department of Transportation, Highway J in Taney County still is closed this morning due to flooding as well as several highways in Barry County.
Rain is forecasted again today, but no severe weather is expected. The rain will end this evening, and an extended dry period will settle into the Lakes Region.
