A traffic crash east of Cassville in Barry County kills a female teenager from Arkansas.
According to the report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred on Highway 76 around 10:30 Saturday morning when a car driven by a 24-year-old woman from Rogers ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment while a 17-year-old female passenger also from Rogers was pronounced at the scene by Barry County Coroner Gary Swearingen.
This is the 10th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2026.
