The COVID-19 Pandemic has seen an increase in Fraudulent Activity and SCAMS over the last year according to many different officials.
In a recent interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, Dustin Jones and Ryan Ricketts from Central Bank of Branson talked about some of the most common Scams including people receiving calls or messages requesting personal information in order to get to their banking accounts. Ricketts also says that a number of people have been trying to get cash with fraudulent checks over the last several weeks. Both Jones and Ricketts say that people, especially business owners, be careful with their personal information to prevent it being stolen.
