Among the traffic crashes worked by the Missouri State Highway Patrol in the Lakes Region last week was a fatality crash in Stone County.
According to the report from Troop D, the crash occurred east of Kimberling City on DD Highway late in the morning on May 7 when a car slid into the opposite lane and collided with a pickup truck.
The driver of the car, a 25-year-old man from Branson, died as a result of the crash while the pickup driver, a 33-year-old woman from Kansas, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Cox South in Springfield for treatment.
This is 45th fatality in traffic crashes worked by Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in 2026.
