Christian Action Ministries is transitioning their Food Pantries to allow clients to have more of a say in the food they receive.
During an interview Monday on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program, CAM Executive Director Michele Dean says the recently opened Forsyth Pantry is now using a choice system for their clients with the Branson Pantry scheduled to transition to that system after the first of the year. Dean says that clients will have an opportunity to "shop" for the items they will get instead of just having a generic box or bag of food given to them when seeking their services. Dean adds that an additional service will include some "Shopping Advisors" that will help clients with special dietary needs pick out foods healthy for them.
