The recent weekly maps from the U.S. Drought Monitor have followed a similar trend.
This week's map once again indicates the Missouri Ozarks including the Branson Area Drought Free while extreme northwest Arkansas is also Drought Free. North central Arkansas including the Harrison Area does remain Abnormally Dry.
While the Lakes Region has seen a pair of Heat Waves over the last week, enough rain has fallen to keep the Ozarks Water Levels close to normal.
Today, the region will have a chance of rain with a cool weekend ahead before heat returns next week.
