Dry conditions continue to impact the Lakes Region.
The National Weather Service says in a statement that some elevated fire weather conditions will occur across portions of the area late this morning into early this evening as southerly winds combine with a seasonably warm and dry air mass.
Officials are cautioning against outdoor burning today because of these conditions as fires can get out of control quickly.
A system is expected to bring rain to the Lakes Region on Saturday.
