The rainy/stormy pattern of weather in the Lakes Region will end after today according to weather forecasters.
Areas of central Missouri has seen severe weather this morning while only scattered storms have been developing in southern Missouri. That will change later today as storms become more organized. The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for southern Missouri and northern Arkansas until 7:00 this evening. An Enhanced to Moderate Risk of Severe storms are expected according to the weather service with some hail and potentially 70-80 MPH wind gusts possible.
After today, the Lakes Region is forecast for a quiet, calm, and cooler period of weather with no precipitation expected again until early next week.
