The first full day of spring starts out cool, but winds will warm up temperatures and elevate fire risk once again today.
Most of central and northern Arkansas as well as central and southern Missouri are under a Red Flag Warning from the National Weather Service. Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. According to the weather service Outdoor burning is not recommended with many agencies, communities, and counties already having burn bans in effect.
Winds today are expected to gust from 30-35 MPH with relative humidity dropping below 20% in some areas.
Temperatures will warm-up into the 60s and stay warm over the weekend with a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday night into Sunday.
