A Forsyth man is facing charges related to sex crimes which could send him to prison for the rest of his life.
Skylar Woods is facing a count of 1st Degree Sodomy or Attempted Sodomy and 1st Degree Sexual Abuse of a victim less than 14 years of age. If convicted on the sodomy charge, he could be sentenced to life in prison.
A probable cause statement says a 12-year-old girl told investigators at the Child Advocacy Center Woods came into her bedroom and sexually assaulted her. She said she attempted to get away from Woods during the assault.
A 10-year-old child was in the same bed while the assault took place and told Woods to stop but it had no impact. The witness then pulled the victim away from Woods.
